After Resurrection Day, Still Believing in Resurrection Power Over Your Marriage
After Resurrection Day, Still Believing in Resurrection Power Over Your Marriage “Then he said to them, ‘These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you… Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.’” — Luke 24:44–45 (ESV) After Jesus rose from the dead, the story did not end, it actually slowed down. The disciples did not immediately step into everything God had promised. Instead, they entered a season of encounters, instruction, waiting, and preparation. For 40 days, Jesus appeared to them. He taught them. He strengthened them. He reminded them of truth. And even after all of that, they still had to wait for the power of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. That means resurrection happened, but manifestation unfolded over time. This is where many people get discouraged in their stand for marriage restoration. You believed for resurrection on Easter. You expected something visible. But when nothing seemed to change, the enemy tried to convince you that nothing is happening. That is not true. The disciples were still in the story after the resurrection, and so are you. They stayed close to Jesus. They received truth. They waited in obedience. They kept gathering. They kept believing. And eventually, everything Jesus promised began to unfold in power. Your stand is not over because you did not see immediate change. Just like the disciples, you are in the “after resurrection” process. God is teaching you, strengthening you, and preparing both you and your spouse. Do not let a date define your faith. Resurrection is not limited to Easter. It is a season. It is a process. It is something God unfolds by His Spirit. Your marriage is not being restored by timing, but by the Spirit of God working in ways you cannot yet see. So what do you do now? I say let’s do what the disciples did. They stayed close. They stayed filled. They stayed obedient. They kept believing. Because just like their story was not finished after the resurrection, your marriage is not finished either.
