New Things Coming, Entering a New Year of Promise and Restoration
New Things Coming, Entering a New Year of Promise and Restoration A new year has a way of stirring hope again, even in the heart that has been tired from standing. You might be looking back at months of waiting, unanswered questions, and painful moments where you wondered if anything would ever shift. But God does not measure your future by what has happened in your past. He measures your future by His promises, and when God speaks, time has to cooperate. The Bible makes it clear that God is a God of newness. He renews strength. He renews hope. He renews joy. He renews hearts. And yes, He renews marriages. This is not about pretending the struggle was not real. It is about believing that the same God who carried you through last year is fully able to release something brand new in the year ahead. Isaiah 43:19 says, “Behold, I am doing a new thing.” Notice that God does not say, “I might do something new,” or “I will do something new once everything looks better.” He declares it as present reality, even before you can perceive it. That is what faith learns to do during a stand. Faith agrees with God before it sees the evidence. Faith aligns with heaven before circumstances catch up. Standing for marriage restoration often requires a holy determination to believe again. Not because you feel strong, but because God is strong. Not because you have control, but because God has authority. Not because your spouse is acting right, but because Jesus is still King over hearts, over timing, and over impossible situations. New things coming does not just mean your spouse suddenly returns tomorrow, though God can absolutely do that. New things coming also means God is doing something in you that is preparing you for the restoration you are praying for. He is strengthening your inner life. He is building endurance. He is purifying motives. He is teaching you to hear His voice more clearly. He is shifting how you respond, how you pray, how you fight, and how you love. New things are often born quietly, under the surface, while you wait. This is why the new year matters so much for a stander. It is a spiritual marker that reminds you, God is not finished. The enemy wants you to believe that delay means denial. But God has always used waiting seasons as preparation seasons. And what feels like a pause to you is often a setup in the spirit. This week, I want you to step into the new year with expectation. Not vague optimism, but anchored confidence in God’s Word. There are promises you have carried for a long time. Some you barely have strength to whisper anymore. Yet God is still saying yes. Your job is to keep agreeing. To keep declaring. To keep standing. New things are coming to your heart, to your faith, to your home, and yes, to your marriage. The God who restores is already moving. Your story is not over. Your covenant is not forgotten. Your prayers are not wasted. Take a deep breath and step forward. The year ahead is not ruled by what you lost. It is ruled by the One who redeems.
