All of God’s Promises Are Yes & Amen
All of God’s Promises Are Yes & Amen Scripture: “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” —2 Corinthians 1:20 (ESV) Maybe you’ve heard this phrase before: “All of God’s promises are yes and amen.” It’s a powerful truth about how God fulfills what He promises—but it’s even deeper than many realize. The full verse from 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” At first glance, we get excited: “Yes! God is faithful to His promises!” And that is absolutely true. His “Yes” means He is committed. He has spoken. He will not change His mind. When God gives you a promise about your marriage restoration, He is not uncertain or hesitant. His answer is YES—because He cannot lie, and He is the author of the covenant you're standing for. But here’s where many miss the full picture: the "Amen." We often say, “God’s promises are yes and amen” as if God is the one saying both parts. But the verse actually says it is we who speak the “Amen.” It’s our job to respond in faith. “Amen” means “Let it be.” The promise starts with God’s yes—but it’s our agreement, our faith, our “Let it be,” that activates the promise and brings it into our lives. This is especially powerful when you are standing for your marriage. You might have heard the Lord speak to your heart, confirming He wants to restore your covenant. That’s His “Yes.” But now it’s your turn to say, “Amen. Let it be.” This is not passive waiting. It’s active agreement. You stand, declare, and respond with faith. You say “Let it be” when everything looks broken. You say “Amen” when others say it’s over. Don’t let the enemy silence your agreement with God. If you stop saying Amen, you disconnect your faith from His promises. If you only believe in the “Yes” without speaking your “Amen,” the promise stays suspended—real, but not yet manifest. God is waiting for your faith to ignite what He already said yes to. So today, remind yourself: God is still saying yes to the promise of your restoration. He has not changed His mind. Now rise up in bold faith and speak your Amen. Say it with tears in your eyes, say it when fear tries to steal your hope, say it when you don’t see anything shifting. Your Amen is powerful. It is your agreement that heaven is waiting on. If you’re still wondering if restoration is possible, here’s the answer: Yes—God said it. Now what’s left? You. Me. Us. The standers. We must say: AMEN. LET IT BE. He’s already said YES—now we must echo back with a resounding Amen. So when you wake up tomorrow and wonder if anything has changed, don’t give in to doubt. Speak it out again. Amen, Lord. Let it be. My spouse may be far, but You are near. My marriage may feel dead, but You are the Resurrection and the Life. You’ve already spoken the “Yes”—and now I rise in faith and say, Amen. Let it be. He’s waiting for your faith to partner with His promise. And when the Yes of Heaven meets the Amen of earth—miracles happen.
